During this training, she was chosen as the chief resident for both years and is still on staff at Rady Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Travers’ passion for pediatric dentistry and her desire to help children, coupled with unwavering humanitarian service, has led her to do volunteer work in different parts of the world, such as Fort Yukon and Veneti, Alaska; Waianea, Hawaii; Mexico, Guatemala, Uganda, and Sri Lanka. Since 2014 she has been a staff member at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. As a teenager, Dr. Travers moved to the United States from Uganda to pursue her undergraduate degree in medical technology from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She is happy to now call San Diego home. Her interests include involvement in her home church, hiking, snorkeling, trying out new recipes, and traveling with her husband, Brian.
